Lance was original found with a chain collar embedded in his neck and under his front paw.  Poor baby!  He about a year old and gets along very well with other dogs.  He is not an alpha dog.  He's very well behaved and does great on a leash and in the car.  Although he is shy, he isn't skittish and does good out in public.  He is potty and crate trained.

Lance is super with kids, even little ones.  See below.

From Lance's foster: 

Lance is ready for adoption now.  He's current on shots, is going into month 6 of the slow-kill heartworm. I will continue paying for his HW treatment when he is adopted, hopefully with other dogs, if possible.

Lance highlights:

• No separation anxiety;
• Crate Trained;

• Wonderful on leash (hard to believe after having an embedded collar)
• Equally wonderful in car;
• UTD on shots;
• Neutered July 2012;
• Great sleeping buddy;
• Great with children...my 2 year old climbs all over him and he just lays on the floor;
• Lance will need to remain on HW treatment for at least three more months or until it's confirmed his HW test is negative; I will continue to pay for his medical treatment (related to HW), at Warrington Veterinary Hospital (Dr. Maddux has been treating him and I would really prefer to stay with them, if possible);
• Lance is very submissive and doesn't look anyone (including other dogs) in the eyes, until he's comfortable enough with them; since I don't know his history...I don't know why he's like that.
