McHenry has the sweet, loving nature of a boxer.  She's mainly black with a little white, but it's a sleek black with a dark gray hue.  It's such an unsual, pretty color and sooo shiny!  She was dumped out in the woods and left to fend for herself.  Why would anyone do that to such a super dog?!?

You'll be hard pressed to find a more affectionate and attentive dog than McHenry.  She responds well to basic commands and gets along with children and other dogs.  She likes cats too, although her eagerness and size can be intimitdating to some cats.  McHenry is also kennel-trained and house-broken.

McHenry is around a year old.  She's spayed and up-to-date on all of her shots, including bordetella for boarding.  She's very healthy but did test slightly positive for heartworms.  Currently being treated using new protocol of Heartgard given monthly for six months and anitibiotics given every other month for three weeks.  McHenry will need to be retested for heartworms mid-October 2011.  Her adoption fee is $100 which includes Heartgard and antibiotics provided to adoptive family to continue treatment.
