Slate was born to a tuxedo mama, abandoned by her humans who moved away and left her behind. A kind neighbor began feeding her and discovered she was pregnant. The woman brought the cat indoors and set up a nursery in her sunroom and Slate was born a few weeks later. He was the biggest in his litter of five and has remained the largest. He is "all boy" and frequently climbs his large scratching post to declare himself "King of the Mountain." Slate is athletic and likes to wrestle with his siblings and chase balls, particularly ones with bells. But he is also a cuddle bug who wants to be held and enjoys loving from his foster mama. Bonus* Slate tolerates manicures quite well as his humama has been playing with his feet since he was itty-bitty; although he does a fine job with his scratching post. Our adoption fees are $75.00 for any kitty 6 months of age or older. $85 for kittens under 6 months of age. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery.
