Mel is a friendly and handsome long-haired tabby. He's adorable with his crossed eyes. They're not badly crossed, but it gives him such a cute look. He does love attention and lap cuddles. Mel showed up as a stray with the back of his ears in terrible shape. The vet said it was due to being outside, not ear mites. After being inside with us for a while his ears are all cleared up and he's enjoying a life of leisure which he would like to continue in a forever home. Mel can be a jerk to other cats, so it'd be better if he was an only cat. We're not sure how he is around dogs. Often cats that don't like other cats, like dogs. Go figure!

Our adoption fees are $75.00 for any kitty 6 months of age or older. $85 for kittens under 6 months of age. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, FeLV test, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online Cat Adoption Application on our website aaFlorida.org.  There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register.  For more information about this kitty or any others, you can contact us at Adoptions@aaFlorida.org or 850-780-3223.  We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any cat.  Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our fabulous felines.
