Tortoiseshell / Calico (short coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Medium
Marley is a true hero. Her previous owner decided to move, taking Marley, but leaving her newborn kittens behind. Marley would have none of it and traveled over a mile to get back to them. Unfortunately, she was hit by a car on her way back. When the landlord came to check on the vacant house he found Marley and her 6 kittens. Animal Allies was called and she, along with her kittens were rescued. Due to being hit by a car and infections that wouldn't heal, Marley lost her leg, but never her loving nature. Marley is a tortoise shell female about 1 ½ years old. She becomes strongly attached to her human and will become your very best friend, in fact she will insist upon it! She can be quite possessive of her human and reacts to what she perceives as a threat by batting with her paw (but does not use her claws or injure her feline roommates in any way) and on occasion hissing. She will likely do best as an only kitty or with a laid-back cat who doesn’t respond to her batting, etc. She really is extremely loving and lovable and will cuddle up beside you, on your lap or on your chest. She makes eye contact with those big amber eyes while you talk to her and loves, loves, loves when you scratch her head, ears and jaw, especially on that hard to reach right side. She gets everywhere she needs to go, runs and plays on her 3 legs. She uses her upper body to assist in climbing up onto furniture. Marley is an exceptionally special girl looking for her exceptionally special forever home. All of our cats and kittens are also available for virtual adoption for $10 or more per month.
